Theory of Constraint

Hari ini bermulah kursus tentang Theory of Constraint (TOC). Apa yang saya pelajari hari ini ialah tentang 3 alat untuk menyelesaikan masalah iaitu pertama The Logical Branch, The Evapouring Cloud and The Target Tree. Untuk sesi pagi ini kami mengupas alat yang pertama iaitu The Logical Branch. Untuk kaedah ini, kami dikehendaki mengenal pasti satu tindakan dan daripada tindakan tersebut kami dikehendaki memikirkan kesan daripada tindakan tersebut. Dan kesan tersebut hendaklah kesan terus daripada sebab tersebut. Sehinggalah sampai ke suatu tahap akhirnya kita akan dapat membuat keputusan yang terbaik. Kaedah 'Cause and Effect' ini juga sangat baik digunakan untuk menulis karangan.



Contoh:



Kalau saya tidur lambat > saya akan susah untuk bangun pagi > saya akan lewat pergi kerja > saya akan punch lewat > elaun kehadiran akan dipotong > gaji bulan depan akan berkurang > kurang duit untuk belanja > ikat perut.
Tapi taklah semudah ini kerana ada banyak arrow kat tepi dan ada peraturan yang kena ikut.

Sekarangni our assignment:

If the government raises the price of the toll > People will get angry because this will increase their expenditure > they will cause street demonstration > it will cause riot > because provocation from some public members > the police will take action > some people will get arrested > the public will get more angry > situation will get worst.

This is a negative branch which is not good. So we must trim this branch by adding injection tapi jangan sampai salah inject tau... nanti lain pulak jadinya.

The injection is somewhere along the line.

This is our proposal.

If the government raises the price of the toll > people will get angry because this will increase the expenditure > (injection) make reprentation for the government to review > govt will review the toll > demonstration cancelled > no riot > poloce will not tak action > People will be happy.

Now, the negative branch has turn to be positive branch.

Not bad, i learnt something today.
